Another eventful year is coming to a close; so here is our annual review. I had saved up enough holidays so we could have over 5 weeks to visit Singapore, Bali, the East of Australia travelling in a Jowett, and Hong Kong.
Jen is also drawing her pension and has a free bus pass. Amy and boyfriend, Chris, organised a memorable party to celebrate.
Undoubtedly THE event was Barbara and Alf’s diamond wedding on which they received a letter of congratulation from the Queen. The highlights of the weekend were a helicopter trip over their house, Exmoor and the beautiful Devon coast, canapés prepared by Amy at the beach and a slap up meal with all their friends.
Jowett events in Devon and Yorkshire and rugby trips to see Saracens and England filled out the busy calendar. The Javelin and I were invited to the Goodwood Revival racing to act as taxi driver in 1950’s costume to motor racing world champions. It was great to talk with these idols. Three days of fun that took me back to my time circuit racing!
Amy has started her legal pupillage and is now an utter barrister. Her ambition of over a decade has been realised. We are extremely proud of her hard work and dedication.
