Re: JOWETTS FOR SALE - FEBRUARY 2015
BEU 164 - I bought this car from it's elderly South Wales owner, who was going to scrap it, way back in the 90's. Found a new home for it in Hazelhead, Aberdeen with a chap whose name I can't recall. He started work on it but never completed it due to ill health. I believe he has since passed away.P...

Re: 8 hp spring leaf bushes
Thanks Chris - I phoned them continuously last evening - about 25 times but they were always engaged. Tried again at midnight, when I would have expected it to ring out, but they were still engaged so perhaps they have an issue with their phone ?. Will try again next Monday.

FOR SALE _ 1934 Tourer 'Arabella'
I am reluctantly selling Arabella - my 1934 Eagle-bodied Jowett Tourer. See Jowett Gallery, under AXY11, for pics and history. Reason for sale - old age and ill health (me, not Arabella!) She has had virtually no use since the 2010 Wakefield rally where she won the Class H 'Concours 1st' and the Sid...

Re: Jowett photographs
Hi Nigel,
Seasons Greetings to you.
Have just seen your post - any suggestions as to how one can get a copy of the mag or just of the picture ?. I am obviously interested in the picture of AXY 11.
Cheers, Ian

7hp engine for sale
100_6912.JPG I am selling my spare 7hp engine. Bought it to power 'Arabella' for the 2010 Wakefield rally whilst her original engine was being restored. Can't see me ever needing it again and it is taking up space. It is a 1935 engine, number 5 41994. I can be contacted at 'iakemp42@gmail.com' or o...

Re: Pistons for a 7HP
Hi Alan. The first Jowett activity of the year for me ! Have just been measuring Arabella for wiring lengths for the Flashing Indicators I have fitted. I have 8hp std pistons in my 'spare' 7hp engine. Bores were taken out to, I believe from memory, 3.032" (by IP's 'boring' man). Std 7HP are 2.9...

Re: Pistons for a 7HP
Chris/Alan - I have 8hp std pistons in my '35 'spare' engine - the bores have been taken out to just over +060". I have the exact size somewhere - will look for it and post it later this week. No other 'differences'.
It was 3.024 but this should be re-checked
