I've uploaded a photo of the Jowett drawing of the Jupiter wheel.
It is in my folders under Jowett Drawings. I'm sure Keith will find a more suitable home for it.

Re: Alloy wheels for Javelin/Jupiter, possibly others
I can Confirm that the Wheel Stud PCD is 7.375". I have a Jowett drawing of the Jupiter wheel. I'm not sure it will copy too well but I'll try taking a photo and posting it.

Re: Alloy wheels for Javelin/Jupiter, possibly others
I would be interested in a set of Alfin Drums and hubs. I had a chat with Typecast at Silverstone a couple of years ago and mentioned that the Jowett drums were integral with the hubs. They suggested making a separate hub and having replacement finned drums. I think that this is what the works race ...

Jupiter Wiring Loom
I remember reading in the great SC rebuild that there were two suppliers of Jupiter wiring looms, one good the other not so good. Can anyone point me in the direction of the good supplier.

Re: Need to know for publication.
BHP/cc = 62.5/1486 = 0.042 hp/cc
Weight/BHP = 1895/62.5 = 30.32 lb/hp
Weight/CID = 1895/90.6 = 20.91lb/CID
Not sure of the steering ratio. I think it might be quoted in the Technical Specification Documents.

Re: Rear Axle Questions
Drummond,
Thanks for the tip regarding the rear axle key. I am just getting to the stage of fitting the drums back on so your timing is spot on.

Re: Rear Axle Questions
Scott, Thanks for the reply. I'll have a go at dressing the half shaft threads with a thread files as you suggest. I have noticed that the thread lengths on either end the panhard rod are different. Should the longer threaded end be on the chassis end? Regarding the rear damper lower pivot pin diame...

Rear Axle Questions
A few questions for the forum concerning the Jupiter rear axle: 1) What should the diameter of the rear damper lower pivot be? I had some new pins made a good while ago now and they have a 5/8" diameter for the damper pivot. Should these be 1/2" as the securing nut is 1/2"? 2) Any tip...

Replacement for Castrol PH grease
I have been reading through the posts on rebuilding the Javelin/Jupiter rear brakes and see that Castrol PH grease is recommended for lubricating the handbrake mechanism and brake shoe abutments. I have had a quick search for PH grease and it seems to have been replaced by Castrol CL grease. Has any...

PF770 Headlamp assembly
Can anyone talk me through the PF770 headlamp assembly? My Jupiter didn't come with any headlamps so I am struggling to identify just what parts I need to obtain. So far I have a pair of late type back shells, the lamp units themselves (with bulb holders) and a pair of outer chrome rims. I think tha...

Re: Rubber Bushed Front Suspension Upper Link Trunnion Washe
I had a good chat with Drummond on the phone who explained some of the finer points of the late type suspension. He kindly offered to send me a set of secondhand anti rotation washers. Now I have them I can see that they're fairly substantial. I mananged to find some M10x30mm washers on eBay which a...

Re: Rubber Bushed Front Suspension Upper Link Trunnion Washe
Thanks for the replies. You're right Drummond the replacement bushes don't have a steel disc at the larger end. The washers provided by JCS are 1/2"x 1 3/16" so they are a bit loose over the 3/8" thread. Unfortunately I don't have the original D washers as they were badly corroded and...
