About Blanes. I was eating Paella at "Restaurante Casa Patacano" in Blanes, with Drummond and Ruby Black in the summer of 1966.

Re: Moises noises.
Hi Mike, Thank you very much for your help. All your considerations are correct. The LHD fork measures approximately 48mm. from the pivot ball cup to the line of pins and 150mm. from the pivot ball cup to the center of the clevis pin hole. As you have observed, after contacting the bearing with the ...

As can be seen in the attached photos, the distance between the release lever and the rear face of the clutch housing is 71 mm. and the tolerance betwe...

Re: Moises noises.
Thanks to Keith and Scott for the help and Mike for his comments. Going back to the subject of the clutch, I think that in my engine, the ball has always had a rear shim. In fact, on the road the clutch works perfectly and the gears are easily changed. The problem is in the noise and the anormal wea...

Re: Moises noises.
Keith, I have read all your clutch topics and everything is correct on my engine. The problem is in the fork. As you say, the thrust bearing should advance 4.2mm. to free up the disc, which in my case with an LHD fork translates to 12.6mm. at the end of the fork. With the original ball, it is imposs...

Re: Moises noises.
I have assembled the clutch with the new disc with 4 springs. I have tested its operation and I have seen that the fork has no travel. In order for it to come into contact with the bearing and release the disc, I have to advance the ball by placing a 5 mm shim in its rear part. IMG_9350.JPG IMG_9365...

Re: Moises noises.
Thank you David
Not rush. I will wait to receive the pins before putting the engine in the car.

Re: Moises noises.
Listening to Keith, I've repaired the fork with welding. It has been relatively easy. The ideal would be to be able to have a pair of original pins. As a temporary solution I have adapted a 6 mm screw. in diameter with an Allen head that I previously reduced to 3/8". Maybe I should harden it by...

Re: Moises noises.
Thank you David and Keith. I have easily removed both fork pins. I think I can repair the part with welding, but I would need 2 new pins (Part No. 50847). Do you think they will be available in JCS?

Re: Moises noises.
Thanks Keith. I will try to repair the fork with welding. Do you think I can do it myself or do I have to go to a specialized workshop?

Re: Moises noises.
In the attached photo you can see the condition of the clutch fork. Why has it occurred?
How could I get a new clutch operating lever fork LHD Part No. 52345? It would be better to have the fork, ball and bearing set. Thank you very much for your help
