Re: Nuts and Bolts

Hello On the topic of Nuts and Bolts... I had my Javelin near side front wing renovated recently (and a good job it is too!) Unfortunately the bolts could not be 'rescued' and were replaced by hexagonal bolts with nuts (metric, I guess) Does anyone know the size of the said bolts and nuts (although ...

Re: Essential checks on Nuts and Bolts

Thanks for the reminder, David. Since you told members about this check, I've made it part of my annual 'check up'! Whilst greasing the front end, it only adds a few minutes to the job, but it's a real reassurance that everything is tight.
Best wishes. Paul

Thank you so much, Chris! That's just what I hoped to hear. You have eased my troubled mind considerably.
Thank you again, Chris.

Re: Javelin Front Spring Rebound Buffer (Part 50740)

Thanks. I was afraid of something like that! Don't think torsion bars have ever been shifted since I have had the car (since 1967!) Won't be easy shifting adjusters, I reckon.

Re: Javelin Front Spring Rebound Buffer (Part 50740)

Hello. Any hints, tips re removing remains and fitting these buffers would be gratefully received. I'm assuming I won't have to do anything too drastic like dismantling the front suspension!
Thanks, in anticipation. Paul

Javelin Front Spring Rebound Buffer (Part 50740)

Now here's a truly stupid question! Can anyone please supply a photo showing the position of the 'Front Spring Rebound Buffer' on the Javelin?
And how is it attached, please?
Thanks

Re: Unusual details on E0PB8092D

Wow! I've only ever seen photos of an early Javelin without the rear wing light assemblies! Looks splendid and so streamlined! I guess it would be a pity to mess with the rear wings and fit the usual Javelin rear lamp assemblies (or any other rear lamp assembly, for that matter!) and I assume the si...

Re: Rear exhaust bracket

Hi Alexander
To be honest the drawing of the exhaust with all the problems wasn't mine! I took it from something I'd seen re the problems encountered by another member. I hope they won't mind!

Re: Sid Bradford NZ Photos of CD11 and CD18

Well, I for one, am fascinated by the history of the CDs and the R4s, and the "what might have been". So thanks for re-raising it again, David,
Best wishes
