Re: "The Son of a Javelin Owner" My Story
Hello Kieron, "Jowetts never wear out, they are passed to the next of kin" This was one of the pre war advertising slogans. Your story and mine are similar but your happy ending was on time. At the age of 2 (That's me not him) my Dad bought MVU 377 E2/PD/22113 a Black Std Javelin. It becam...

Re: Chrome screen surround.
Hello David,
Thanks for your response. My rear screen surround is near perfect. I believe I have found an acceptable front one. But I may call on you if its not.
Thank you

Re: Chrome screen surround.
Hello Nick, It is safe to work on the basis I know little of the surround building process. 😀 But if what you and Chris say is put together maybe we should ask JCS if they could investigate. I am assuming you haven't thrown all the damaged surrounds away Chris? I still have mine we could donate to J...

Chrome screen surround.
Hello All,
I am currently looking for the above for what has ended up being a bare metal restoration on my Dads Javelin. The chrome I have looks like someone used it as a skipping rope. I know they are rare but help would be appreciated please.

Re: wiper motor, voltage reg
Hello Raymond, As Jacks Bradford is a CC, I suspect the motors and regualators are 12 volts. I am in the (very long winded) process of rebuilding a 6 volt CB. I live near Buxton, I would be happy to collect and pass to JCS if they are 12V or use them if they are 6V. P.M. your address if nobody has r...

Nick,
I am not stalking you, honest.
It took my fast (though not fibre broadband) about 30 minutes to download a rally video which was about 30 minutes long. It just went round and round for me too.
I shall look into the car database now you have mentioned it.

Re: Bradford Van EO 9840
Hello Paul, If I did, I now know nothing (as per Manuel). My wife to be at that stage went to Matlock college around 1982 and we got married in 1985 and moved "sowf" to Stilton Beans (known better as Milton Keynes, by the locals anyway). At that time finances stopped any Jowett involvement...

Re: Bradford Van on ebay
Hello Bryn, Which part of the country do you live in please then we can tell you which section you could join. I too have a basket case Bradford. However I still work full time so the timescale I have set myself is no where near as ambitious as yours. The Bradford Registrar is Paul Beaumont. He live...

Re: car or van wanted to restore
Hello Kevin, Sadly the Javelin has been whisked away. Brace yourself the Bradford is based just outside Nottingham and is unlikely to be whisked away. Chassis looks fairly solid. It is a CC (The Powerful engine) It was a van and is one of the last Bradfords to have been made (In the last 500 or so) ...

Re: car or van wanted to restore
Hello Kevin, Are you up for basket cases? I am currently working on a Bradford (not for sale). But I do know the whereabouts of a very late (in both senses of the term) CC Van. I can post pictures. It needs to be in protective custody. I also know of the whereabouts of a Javelin, condition unknown b...

Ian,
Doug Rath in Oz has one, I, like you, suspect it was an export version.
I will ask him if he has any info.
