July appears to be month of Jowett E Bay sales - with a Javelin & Jupiter both requiring restoration and both sold this last week - there is at present another Bradford 6 light utility requiring work on the site has well but the price appears a little steep.

There was a Kestrel that was for sale a few months ago, may have been listed as a Curlew (or the other way round)

It seems this is a different car, or has been listed correctly at least.

Jack is correct - a couple of months ago there was a car that was traded around the auction circuit until it eventually sold - it was described as a Curlew but was actually a Kestrel - and yes this is a different car that is being offered.

The car that was advertised in Rugby and then went to auction was in fact a Falcon. Not a Kestrel or Curlew as advertised. It was the same as the long saloon of 1935 but by 1936 it was called a Falcon. Despite advising the original vendor what it was he insisted in referring to it as a Curlew. Perhaps he was hoping to get a better price!!! The engine was a Jowett but a stationary engine and not the correct car engine. Not that there is much difference!

The car going for for auction on the 27th is a 1934 Kestrel. And, yes, it is a different car! I have seen them both!
