George - I take it you mean the 'Legacy Project' - well it's very much still alive & kicking - however, since the establishment of the project - Alastair Gregg who spearheaded the project campaign has since established a business with his family - hence Alastair is on a bit of a sabatical with all things Jowett until the business is in a position where he can afford the time to committ to the project further - it does not prevent any one of us continuing to contribute or help with the project - volounteers one step forward please. :)

I have also opted to have an email copy of the Jowetteer sent to me, as well as still receiving it through the post, but I must stress, in my case, that the printed copy is VERY MUCH preferred as a reference copy, although the email copy does let us know what's out there much quicker.

Hi Tony,

I think there are many who like having the printed copy - the ability to sit in a comfortable chair and go through the detailed articles, and to keep back copies on the shelf is a nice thing to have. The feedback at the moment seems to be that this is very much an addition to what we do already, and is not replacing the printed copy for most members. The number of people to have opted out of the printed copies seems to be single figures at this point, but the membership forms are only just arriving now, and this is expected to be fairly popular with overseas members who would make a small saving by doing this.

To clarify on the speed of the e-mail - it is indeed very quick to send out, arriving seconds after I send it, however it will not be sent until the day it is due to arrive on the doormat of most members. This is to avoid any unfairness in giving those who receive the e-mail version a head start on a car or parts coming up for sale for example.

Jack.
