Your interest in the forum: I own a Jowett 8. I was given it in 1964 and had to restore the car to put back on the road. I had the car till 1973 when it was sold, then resold and sold again. The car ended up with the late Len Howman from Christchurch New Zealand where I found it again and after keeping in touch with Len purchased the car back again in 2006. I have the car in bits doing up the engine as it was dropping oil badly and one cylinder gets water in it, so I am giving it a birthday for old time sake. I am presently wanting to remake the oil level float and rod to put back in the car, and was hoping I can find one so I can reproduce it or purchase one. I am looking at putting the car back to excellent order again, although very good now.

Reluctantly I am looking to sell my Jowett 8 1939, It is in top condition and I have the full history of the car, from when my Uncle's brother brought from new then my Uncle gave me the car, to me purchasing it back again five years ago and all in between. Original motor etc and all in top condition. I would dearly like to see it stay in the Club if possible. It is in Auckland NZ. If anyone is serious my email is rugg@ihug.co.nz
