Righty then, it seems like someone at Halfords IT department is losing their job tomorrow.
But in the meantime their oil promotion is 30% off. But when you go to check out it takes another 30% off, presumably not on purpose.
That means a £19.99 pot of oil is discounted to £13.99, and then less than £10 per 5l tub.
It is good oil, entirely suitable for Javelins and Jupiters (and I suspect all the other Jowetts) and that is as cheap as you will get it ever.

You order online and collect from store, also included in this offer are many other oils for modern cars, and it isn't like it goes off any time soon.
No promises, because this looks like an error but once payment is taken I think you should have a contract with them that they will honour, but certainly worth a go at that price and large companies tend to honour these mistakes anyhow. But you do need to have a store in reasonable distance from you to collect.
Jack.

Re: Halfords Glitch - 5l Classic Oil for under £10
Perhaps someone in Halfords reads Jowett Talk. Needing some 20-50 I called in my local branch today to buy one of the 5l tins ,attractive themselves , priced at £13.99, 30 % off the normal £19.99. I asked the cashier about the 30% off and he said "that's it", so they must have corrected the system , their website is also correct , lucky Jack ! Bob

Hi All,
Yes, always one for a bargain, I tried on-line later on the day that Jack made the post. Someone within Halford's must have seen JowettTalk and corrected their software. The oil was back to £13.99. Still good value, but I'll stick to my 25l of Rock Oil 20/40W at £50 a drum.
