Coming back on topic for a second, I made an offer to James Baxter for his 7 hp cylinder head via a Private Message (PM) last week, and have heard nothing since. I've also posted in this train of very interesting posts mentioning that I have sent James a PM with no response from him. Any suggestions as to what I should do now apart from sit & wait patiently beside the computer? I don't want to miss out on his cylinder head.

Not sure if James reads his PMs. If they are still in your Outbox he has not read them. But if they are in your sent box he has, and is still thinking of an answer. You can always use the secure email sytem rather than a PM which sends an email to James's email account.
