Hi I have just joined forum. Not sure how it all works yet.
I am restoring, with a friend, an early Jupiter. We are in Australia and the chassis is E0/SA/24.
We are currently stuck for a tachometer and wondered whether anyone has one for sale.
The Smiths part number is X76473.
I would prefer a working unit but will restore an old one.
I understand there is a UK supply of small gearboxes to fit on rear of dynamo for cable attachment to tacho. I am looking for this gearbox as well.
Thanks in advance for any help
Howard Norfolk

Re: Early Jupiter Tachometer
Hello Howard; Anybody restoring an early Jupiter deserves all the help he can get....so yes, I do have a tacho going spare. It is scruffy, best foresee a reconditioning, but complete. HOWEVER the smith's part number is 76490 (as are both the others in my two cars). If somebody offers you a good tacho not needing reconditioning, go for it! But otherwise come back to me on vic.boddy@hotmail.fr and we can sort things out. By the way, my son will be in Aussie in April, he could maybe bring it over. Regards vic
