Pay on all roads and get gridlocked with the expence,NEVER.
Get all trafic moving with higher speed limits and more new high speed
roads.
Modern cars are able to handle greater speeds with suspension, braking and engine power with complete saftey.
One of my cars will cruise all day at !55MPH 250KM/h on the German Autobahn in complete saftey.
I say get the trafic moving again, time to spend money on new and updated road networks.
Get rid of the camera's and have freedom from big brother.
Road Pricing and more hidden powers to the POLICE.

Heading south on the M6 to occasionally visit relatives in Rugby, it's a huge relief when I see those toll booths on the M6 toll. I know I am not going to suffer the same fate as all those other poor souls who have to use the Walsall section of the M6 to get to the M5. Well worth the few quid involved.
On another topic, the papers today reported that there had been so many replies...about 1.2 million....to the petition, that the Downing street web-site had crashed.
People power at its best !

My one and only experience of the wonderful M6 toll was not quite so utopian. Travelling north I covered the 26 miles efficiently only to queue for ages just north of the toll plaza (posh word for rip-off!) trying to get to M54.
Presumably though if this wonderful scheme goes ahead then both the new road and the old one would be subject to a toll. So where's the benefit - Oh yes suddenly we have doubled capacity on that bit of Motorway. Is this in reality a subtle way to tempt other enterprising companies to build extra capacity for congested bits of motorway with the dangling carrot of toll fees. Come on Wimpey how about a top deck on the M25 just for Keith's Subaru.
Keith you really ought to get a new Legacy mine does 36mpg!
