Now that is a coincidence. Jack had followed the wiring diagram in the handbook and incorrectly wired up the regulator as the handbook was 6v and the CC was 12 v thus using a different regulator. Although both 9 pin the terminal layout is completely different, only the dynamo wire stays in the same place :x .
So after some thought and a new terminal map I rewired the offending regulator. Luckily we had not conected the dynamo when we started the engine a couple of days ago..
