Heat shrink tubes for electrical wires

I went into Aldi today, and the store is selling plastic boxes containing different diameters of heat shrink tubing.
If you are contemplating electrical work on your Jowett in the future, it might just be worth going to have a look.
In the past I've found it works better than wrapping with insulation tape.

Good find, heatshrink is definitely better than tape, and looks a lot neater.

Aldi frequently do similar boxes with assorted washers, springs and other useful bits, often at less than the autojumble prices.

I was given a set of their hole cutters too, which are very good quality and similar sets would be significantly more money - not frequently we need hole cutters for wood on the cars, but it has already been worth its weight in gold around the house!

I've had a box of Aldi heat shrink for some years now. Very useful. Another point is that it hides the coloured bits on spade and tag connectors making them black.

They sometimes do a similar box with large fibre, plastic and rubber/neoprene seals. The box I bought had about 20 rubber ones which are a perfect fit for Jav/Jup water transfer ports. Being flat, they don't have a tendency to bulge out when tightened. Mine sealed well first time. All the others still sit in the box, I think they're for washing machines.
