Current price of 50314 Spring arm trunnion bush
Would someone please advise me of the current price from JCC of the Jupiter trunnion bushes? JOAC doesn't list and NZ does not have any. Sent a note to Spares without a reply, but in all fairness, that was when the Jowett.org system had unknown issues with emails. Thanks, Scott

Please resend as the mail system should now be working.
Note that it is a Bank Holiday here so JCS is not operational this week. Anyway the 'main man' PB is in USA next week!
See http://jowett.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f ... ion#p17654 for Jav 50314.
I had these made out of nylon.
I could enquire about getting some made for the Jup, although the parts book says they are the same as Jav.
I thought Jim Miller was using VW ones.
The Jav metalastic ones were £50 each about two years ago.

Re: Current price of 50314 Spring arm trunnion bush
Hey Keith:
I've got four of the 50314 bush which is the same for both the Jav and Jup on the spring arm or lower link. A Jup owner in Georgia is further along on his car than I am on Jup 140 (20 years this year) and I'll sell him mine for the cost of replacing them.
Found by James, the poly bush from a VW is used at the adjustable end of the Jup torsion bar replacing 53540; the Jav has no bush at the adjuster.
But, you got me thinking I should replace the rubber with Delrin plastic on the race car! Your car seems to ride pretty well, so perhaps this is not a bad idea.
Cheers

Re: Current price of 50314 Spring arm trunnion bush
Hi All
JCS has limited stock of 50314. But they are a horrible price - £50.00 GBP each. I am trying to source them at lower cost. One approach is to supply the steel parts ourselves as, to my mind there is a horrible mark up on these, to the current supplier. I am trying to call in a favour to get the steel parts made at a sensible price. If I can do that I should be able to save at least £10.00 GPB per bush.
Keith, If you need 4 speak up soon as we have only about 10 in stock just now.
New stock is at least 4 weeks.
