The reincarnation of JowettTalk took place on 8 February 2006. The previous version which started on 9th November 2001 is still visible and searchable using the jowett.org search facility.
In 7 years the new version has received 14596 posts on 2630 topics and 456 people are currently members.
How can we improve communication between lovers of Jowetts because not all those 456 have communicated using JowettTalk? Perhaps it is difficult for you to think of something to say? Why not try thinking harder? There is bound to be someone who will strike up a conversation with you. There is surely something you can contribute! if you need any help then just email, PM or telephone somebody you know uses JowettTalk.
Many who have not posted often view the site and many do not log-on to view the site (although they are missing some parts of the site if they do not log on).
So happy birthday JowettTalk on Feb 8th. Let us see if we can, on that day, break the most ever users on line at the same time which was 57.
JowettTalk 2 is 7 years old.

JowettTalk 2 is 10 years old.
JowettTalk Version 1 was born on 09 Nov 2001. JowettTalk Version 2 on 8 February 2006.
As you will see in the first post in this topic we had 14000+ posts 3 years ago. Now we have over 20000.
I am not planning on a Version 3 yet as the current system is still useful. But I am planning to upgrade this version to make it better on smartphones and to allow login using Google and Facebook accounts. This will be a major update and may take some time as the SSO integration will need a major overhaul.
But before that happens I will complete the transition to single sign-on by streamlining the registration and login process. I will pay particular attention to the change functions for password and email address that have caused some trouble. The 'spring clean' will mean that those who were previously registered on JowettTalk or JowettGallery or JowettInternetServices and who have not logged in since the switch over in November 2015 will need some manual intervention by Forumadmin.
