SERVICING A JAVELIN / JUPITER

Technical Meeting on the Correct Servicing of a Javelin ( and Jupiter ). This meeting will take place on Sunday 3rd April 2016 at 19 Hartwood Road, Hartwood Shotts, starting at 1 pm. This should prove to be a very valuable session giving advice and an actual bumper to bumper service on a Jowett Javelin.

Some of the areas that will be covered will be as follows :-
ENGINE - Oil Filter replacement, Oil Change, Tappet Felts, Tappet Settings, Air Cleaner ( If still fitted ),
IGNITION SYSTEM - Replacing Spark Plug, Checking & Changing Distributor Points, Ignition Timing,
CLUTCH - Adjustment for correct play,
GEARBOX - Changing Gearbox Oil,
REAR AXLE - Changing Axle Oil, Checking correct Half Shaft play,
GREASING POINTS - Identification of all the Grease Nipples !!
BRAKES - Checking Brake Fluid Level, Adjusting Brake Shoes,
Plus many other points that should be checked during a Full Service.
