Jupiter E1 SA 133

Post by Bajowett »

Hello folks. The restoration of my 51 Jupiter is about to begin gearing up. Scott Renner helped with procurement of the vehicle 10+ years back. I hope to add to the already extensive list of valuable information that already exists here, thanks to all that have supplied it. The goal here is to build a top of the line driver that can also fit in at the shows. I own a small performance company and am well versed in building and modifying all things that go. If anyone has any parts requests, feel free to throw them out there.

Did you know that in 1976 it was bought by George Kemp of Eggertsville New York (Eggertsville is in Erie County, in the Buffalo-Cheektowaga metro area), who moved to 897 Velmont Lane, Homewood, Birmingham Alabama 35226, driving it 940 miles from Buffalo NY to Birmingham Alabama in 1979 or 1980, probably 1980, over two days. Popped a core plug (had a spare). The last 300 miles were without stopping

Edmund, thank you for that info... It's excellent to hear of one of the cars journeys. I did know that George owned it, I purchased it from his widow. Scott did an awesome job getting everything here to me in Massachusetts.... There are a lot of records and paperwork that came with it, including parts receipts from the late 1950's, and I think there may be a letter or three in there from you.

My great grandfather Harry Jowett emigrated to the USA during the early 1900's, pre 1918. He hailed from Bradford.... I've always been curious to find how far or close I am to the Jowett brothers.
