The rear axle has had an overhaul since the half shaft and drum tapers were worn. A pair of spare shafts were fitted. Having obtained two different makes of replacement seal I made this tool .
Unfortunately the spares obtained were 50 thou smaller and were lose in the housing . The old seal was good so was replaced.
It was pressed in using the bearing retaining plate.

Front hub seal.
As well as the rear hubs , the front ones were very worn after 20 years of motors port, so an almost new pair were sand blasted and painted. The last job was pressing in new sealed for life bearings and making some new locking rings.

Track rid end height
A good look at under the socket showed it rubbed on full droop . NOT GOOD. SO WOUND UP UNTIL IT CLEARED. I will check all suspension geometry shortly.
