Jupiter postage stamps

For a comparatively trivial sum I recently purchased a couple of mint (never been used) Australian postage stamps that feature the Jupiter. They were allegedly produced as part of a series to commemorate 100 years of the motor car. I had no previous knowledge of such existence. Are they genuine?

Might be! there is no "This way up" arrow on them!!

Check whether the arrow is on the car or the driver - (that's how convicts were identified)

If it is the Tuvalu set of stamps of the jupiter prototype,they were painted in the red this should of been BRG.
They are the genuine thing.
Paul have looked round the car for the arrows but alas there are none, so
I think it was painted red from a picture by the colour blind inmate and that was how he was caught.
must not get carried away with all of this.
Any way the car is in good hands never raced or rallied even with its floor change Jupiter gear box + the many Eborhorst chassis features that all the Jupiters should have been built with.

Tuvalu is a small island and its main income is supposedly by the sale of its stamps and web sites with the TV logo. The stamps are sold in millions. However they are very collectable. With regard to the Jupiter this is one of two prototypes which were built with many features not on current production cars. Note the picture of the windscreen heavily chromed curved surround is confirming it is infact the prototype. The other confirming feature is the bumper overriders which are different on production cars. Another interesting feature on the prototype and some early cars is the side body strakes. I have a copy of the prototype in its original form touring the Odsall stadium, where the Bradford Bulls still exist.
The car toured the stadium in its premiere showing in British racing green with the Jowett light car with tiller steering in attendance.

Back from the Bristol Italian festival Jupiter farina well recieved.
On walk arrounds see the stamp set sells for 60p at the stamp shop.
