Recently my step father died, he had a collection of classic/vintage cars awaiting restoration. He had been collecting these over a number of years and unfortunately never got round to doing the Jowett's.
The vehicles include;
1. A left hand drive Jupiter MK1, apparently very rare, and in need of a full restoration. There is an engine with the number 50590. From a quick look most of the parts appear to be there.
2. A Jupiter 'rolling chassis' (no bodywork or engine)
3. A Javelin E2, chassis number 20622, original Reg No. JFH779, again in need of full restoration.
4. A further Javelin, details yet to be confirmed, this vehicle may not be good enough to be restored. The vehicle is in one piece and definitely very useful for spares. It possibly could be restored though.
5. A further Javelin which is basically a rusty shell, there may be salvageable parts.
6. Numerous spares, including engines, axles, Javelin doors, boots, bonnets etc. I have yet to make a full list of the spares as the workshop is full of unidentified parts.
I would be grateful if you could advise me of the best way to sell/advertise these vehicles and parts. I am sure there many enthusiasts looking for parts and vehicles for restoration, it is just a matter of finding them.
Having discussed the matter with the executor of his estate, my mother, and her solicitor's I have been tasked with finding the vehicles suitable new owners. I have taken digital photographs of the vehicles/parts and these can be forwarded if you would like to see them.
One of the usual questions asked in replies to other vehicles being sold is "Which part of the country are the vehicles in ?". I live in Kirkcaldy, Fife, which is just North of Edinburgh.
