Chassis plate location

Post by paul byrne »

G'day folks,
I now have a new chassis ID plate and lubrication plate from Tony M. Problem is I don't know where to put them. Any non insulting suggestions as to the correct locations would be gratefully received!
By the way-I noticed the discussion on running-in oil. Views on the recommended type and for how long should it be used?

The springtime it brings on the Jupiter driving (shearing)

Running in

Hi Paul.
I noticed the discussion on running-in oil. Views on the recommended type and for how long should it be used?
This site makes for an interesting read:

http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/runin.htm

There's more info. available on the subjects if you do a Google search on your browser (I searched using "Running-in oil"), but the above site was the most "interesting and informative" I could find . . . .

The final answer to the above questions would be to abide by your engine re-conditioner's recommendations for the oil and the method of running in . . . especially if the job is guaranteed or has some form of warrantee!

Regards to all.

Hi Paul,

Does your Jupiter still have the big removable radiator side sealing panels (air deflectors), as the chassis & lubrication plates were originally attached to them.

I don't have these panels for E1SA433R, so I plan to place my plates on the firewall, much like on a Javelin. The issue with this location on a Jupiter of coure is access to read them!

Cheers,

Very interesting article on the running- in process. Seems very sensible.
Re the Id plates, 440 does not have the original side panels but has large easily removable aluminium panels that seem effective. Has anyone a photo of the originals in place, perhaps showing the location of the ID / lub. plates?
