Hairdressing Jowett.

Post by Forumadmin »

Hello Keith.

Thank you for your email, my reason for joining your forum was, in the 1950’s my mother ran an hairdressing business she was one of the first hairdressers to go to people’s houses, and she used a Jowett van somewhere we have a picture of the van sign written and the girls standing alongside, in an emotional moment I thought I would buy one for old time sake but I am not fit to own something so old and fragile I am not good at looking after things definitely not cars. So if you wish to remove me from the forum please do.

Mike

Hi Mike,
Well you know we have some very incompetent people running Jowetts so you would not be out of place! Why not go along to one of our social gatherings. You can talk and perhaps have a ride.

If you find the picture please send me the image or post it on JowettTalk..

I will not remove you for now.

Hi Mike,
We would love to see the hairdressing Bradford picture if you were able to find it!
Best wishes,

Hello Mike, and welcome to the Forum.
I use the 'somewhere' quite often.
It's usually in the loft or the garage! Someone once wanted a plastic toy sword for their son's fancy dress do at a local primary school. It wasn't in the garage, but the other option prevailed.
Don't de-register, you never know, we might just manage to get you to join the Club.
Regards,
Tony.
