$49,500 = Circa £41,000 GPB - although I don't know how good it is and can only judge from the pics - it looks to be pretty well sorted but far from original with it's blue painted engine

I think that's pretty strong money here in the US, particularly given the transgressions from original. The direction of the grain on the dash is one of those, even though I have seen a number of cars restored that way.

The pound has dipped 6 % hence the apparent rise in value. But even so an encouraging result in the USA.

Yes, that's a pretty big jump in price on the last auction of a Jupiter in the US. All it takes is two bidders. Mecum will not release the name of the buyer, so it's wait and see until it pops up.

There appears to be a 1951 Jupiter for sale, this time in Portugal (The Automobile, September 2019). RM Sotheby's, Sarrage Collection, Comporta.
