Better still and if you would prefer to SUPPORT your club run spares scheme 'Jowett Car Spares' * I think that you will find that they will hold a choice of several Javelin gearboxes
* Jowett Car Spares - Is the Jowett Car Club's spares scheme run entirely by volunteer members for the JCC members with the sole aim of maintaining & expanding the spares availability for all Jowett models - whilst E Bay has its uses it would be nice to think that we can all support JCS long before we consider supporting E Bay vendors

Is the Club not interested in buying parts for refurbishment for the Spares Scheme? I am not interested in supporting Ebay Vendors as you put it (I don't own a Jowett at the moment either) but thought that the Club might be interested in them when I saw the listing come up yesterday.

Hi Nick - The club spares team keep track of what appears on E Bay - especially any parts that are quite rare - I don't want to sound overly dismissive but the spares team would probably give the gearboxes a miss - over the last 2 years I have recovered a couple of spares hoards that have gone directly to the JCS stores - I have lost count of the number of Javelin / Jupiter gearboxes that were amongst the two recovered hoards but probably heading for 15 in number - total cost £nil - I do appreciate where you are coming from though has when they are gone - they are literally gone - no one is building new ones - but I think JCS are not currently too worried on the gearbox front - most Jowett gearboxes can be rebuilt to a good standard - good luck with your Javelin search - Kind regards Chris
