Wheel lug studs
Does anyone know if Jupiter wheel studs are interchangeable with any modern and available wheel studs?
A Raybestos 9340B comes close, but the shoulder is a tiny bit too small diameter.
All but two or three studs are broken on each of my drums.

Re: Wheel lug studs
I have original studs if you want to replace yours, as well as lug nuts. Otherwise, Dorman 610-175 with a little grinding on the stud's round shoulder to nestle against the locating boss in the drum. Located in SoCal.

Look up landrover , there is an article on replacing jowett studs with landrover.
Good memories of Bradfords.

Re: Wheel lug studs
Scott, original wheel studs and lug nuts would be great; getting all the wheels mounted will help move the chassis in and out of the shop.
I am sorting out what needs to be replaced on the car and at this point the only critical parts I am missing are the flywheel, starter motor, clutch disc and pressure plate (and throwout bearing w/lever). Do you have these flywheel parts?
There are a few other parts missing, but nothing I can't work around for now.
I may have to plan a road trip to SoCal this winter if my shopping list gets too big.

David, I couldn't find an article on Landrover studs on JT.
Do you have any idea where I might search for the article?

Re: Wheel lug studs
Look up wheel offset/spacers or type in Land Rover, not the correct name Landrover.
Good memories of Bradfords.

Re: Wheel lug studs
Note that the Land Rover studs I use are longer than the Jowett ones. The chrome cover should cover them.
There are other studs which will fit as I have different ones front and back, but they were put on 25 years ago after a visit to a scrap yard so no idea what they came off. You will need the matching nuts and make sure they bed properly on the rim. I also weld all my Jowett wheels around all holes and the hub cover studs to help prevent the inevitable cracking.

Yes, the parts are on a shelf waiting to be put to use. Your choice on studs. I have replaced the ones on my racer, but still have originals on the other cars. I can fill you in on what to look for.
