Many models of Jowetts exist. Here is one of the R1 Jupiter that ran at Le Mans in 1952.

1:43 Jowett models

Post by Tony Fearn »

Well it's your lucky day. If you have a bottomless pocket, just check out what's on offer on eBay at the moment. Search Jowett ..All categories. I thought it was a joke when I saw the starting bids had to be £295 per model!! Perhaps if you wait a bit, there will be some more reasonably prices ones. It will be quite interesting to see if any of the current ones attract bids. Best of luck. Tony.

There is a very nice 1:43 Silver Grey Javelin still commercially available. It is the Lansdowne brand, nicely boxed and is not a toy
It is an excelent model and retails around 45 pounds and should be able to be purchased from any good model shop.

If you go to www.jmtoys.net and search on Jowett, they will have it there. Also is the same model painted black with Police signage. Also on the same website there are the Pathfinder Brand Javelins and a Jupiter for sale in excess of 270 pounds. These are no longer made and were limited to 600 of each when originally made quite a few years ago

I am a serious collector of Jowett models and would be extremely interested in purchasing a SAS (late Dave Samson) model of a Bradford truck or ice cream van to complete my collection and would pay a good price.

I would also be very happy to correspond directly with others on Jowett models (just click on the email button below)

Jupiter Mark 1A Sc Model now available

Post by Alan Stanley »

A very nice model of the SC Jupiter has just been released by J&M Classics. It is a handbuilt metal model in 1/43 scale and available in
- Hood up or hood down
-standard wheels or spokes
-in a number of original colours
-can be produced in your own colour with your own number plate
around 120 quid

see www.marqueart.com
look in British Sports cars

This is the only built up model on the market, there is a white metal kit avialable, but no where near the quality of this one. All other Jupiter models are no longer in available except on ebay and at high prices.

Happy to crrespond with others on Jowett models

See my post above. This manufacturer has just released the SA Jupiter which is by far the most common. It comes in a number of standrad Jowett colours, but can also be ordered in your chosen colour and with your own number plate. see www.marqueart.com

Here is a Javelin model that you can acquire without taking out a mortgage.
Oxford models have a 1:76 (about 2 inches long) scale model Javelin complete in a plastic display case. It is available in a golden sand colour and previously a pale green. The good thing is it is under 3 quid. A very good buy at this price and quiite good considering the price.

I bought the pathfinder model Jupiter at NEC and I am negotiating to buy some for the club at a better rate This model is a SC but he is working on an SA so these should be in the Jowett shop soon and you will be able to pay by credit card
The oxford model described is now in the shop in fact we sold about 20= at the show with the help of the midlands section
Pathfinder moulds are now Jand M models which used to sell at about £350
