The Late Alan Perkins

Hi,

I just wondered if anyone could tell me what happened to Alan Perkins, I resprayed his Javelin in the early 1980s and have just found a photo of both his and my Javelin [UTW 58] together in my back garden.

I remember going with him to various Essex Jowett Car club meetings, he really used to cane that car but he was a really nice person

Regards

Hi Alan,

All i can tell you really is that he was found in the burnt out wreck of his car (non Jowett) a few years ago now, i believe there was an inquest but i dont know what the outcome was.
On a side note your car that you mention UTW 58 was owned by my father Chris Lane during the late seventies, before my time but he always speaks fondly of that car.

Cheers for now.

I too was a friend of Alan Perkins. He came to visit me when I lived in Pymoor nr Ely and took me for a drive in his Javelin.

We met sometimes in Cambridge too, where he had a son at University

Has he really passed away? So sad if he has...

Does anybody know what happenned?
