Time line of Jowetts

Post by Forumadmin »

There seems to be a concensus for a time line. Well the technology of 1996 did not really allow moving pictures on the web but there is a moving time line on

http://jowett.org/jowettnet/

So would somebody like to find a picture for each of those cars and put them in this thread. I can then put them as a moving time line on the website. When I master Flash (no rude comments now this is a serious discussion) I may even be able to do what Moises Jnr has done.

Keith really I hope you don't think I'm trying to de-rail things. I really am not.

I have lots of pictures taken at Crieff, Warrington and Bideford. If I use them and give you as many models as I have and you use them and then the owner complains because we don't show the car in a favourable enough light, are we not "cruising for a bruising" here. You can have a photo of my SA with pleasure but I am reticent just to pick cars out of my photo's and incite the wrath of the owner. I think what we have to do is publicise this more and even put something in the Jowetteer asking for a photo that the owner would be happy to have shown on the Time Line. I also think somebody like George Garside (all right there is nobody like George, George himself then) should be asked to help us with the earlier data because I don't know about you, but my knowledge of the pre war Jupiter is a bit sketchy for example, George will however know whats what, and to be fair this is what all this is about, getting real information rather than playing a guessing or detective game.
Compliments of the Season,

Alastair Gregg
