Things DO occasionally turn up, like the Javelin and Jupiter chassis in Sweden!

Personally I think that yet another thread could make the Board Index page rather too cluttered.

Other opinions?

Hello,
At least with the car still visible on our site it can alert potential buyers of short 2's, of which there seem to be many,in case they were to inadvertantly be sold this car in some form.

You've got to wonder at the motives of these people.

Hardly stolen for scrap (they left another engine that was easier to get at).

There would be potential problems if it was 'rallied' either in the UK or abroad (The collective enthusiasm worldwide often spots this sort of thing).

So I feel that leaves personal aggrandisement. Just sit and look at it. Well, there are such people but eventually things will come to light possibly too late to be of direct benefit, but who knows?

Keep looking - keep alert.

Not a bad idea James. Perhaps we (JCC) could start a ball rolling by having a 'Lost or Stolen' section listing not just Jowetts but similar reports from other clubs - they might follow suit and the word would get around further and maybe faster.

I assume that this has not already happened or that there is not a general website of this nature?

Keeping the story visible of the only Jowett I know of that has been stolen serves as a reminder to not to fail in our duty as custodians of these prize vehicles and provide them with good security. It should also deter some thieves and remind us to adequately insure them.
