Re: I should know better at my age
This is the new shaft I made to fit the Vega box.
i did not wish to cut up the original shaft as I intend to one day rebuild it.
On Vega boxes , I bought a cheap copy, dont do it!
It was full of milling debris , the internals are not the same as the original & took more effort to reverse.
Either buy an original or Borgenson as these can be bought already reversed shiting the Bradfirds steering direction.

Does anyone know the grade of oil for Bradford shocks?
& how much each shock takes?
I want to drain mine & put fresh oil.

The original oil is SAE 10W, I use an ISO32 Hydraulic oil in mine. Despite its designation it is a 10W oil with anti foaming additives similar to the original Armstrong offering, If you wanted a heavier damping effect then use ISO46 instead
not had any problems.

Re: I should know better at my age
Can someone please post photos of how the Bradfords wiring is routed to the lights..
Mine is obviously incorrect , & I cant remember how it went.
I am replacing the wiring as the numerous melted wires & dodgy slices are not good for reliability .
In particular how the harness runs aling the chassis & how it runs up the mudguard support.

Re: I should know better at my age
Does anyone have the dimensions of the Bradford tappet spanner? This is the one that holds the two tappet & looks like a fork.
I could measure my tappets , however i am not a contortionists & was born lazy.

Re: I should know better at my age
Thank you. That is the one I meant.
Do you have plans of the valve spring compresser?
The one where you rotate the cylinder till valves are fully open, then slip it inside the valve chest. Once in you rotate again & the collets fall into the compresser.

Re: I should know better at my age
I do somewhere, I'll see if I can find it and post it here.
I have found this tool difficult to use, and actually in the process of modifying mine at the moment.
