4WD Bradford?

When i was looking for info on weasles in Old Jowetteers I came across this... A 6 wheeled bradford truck.
I am just intrested in finding out more info about it.
Is it 4WD or is it another axle to help suport the weight?

did the Jowetteer with pic in not give any info to go with it. For what its worth I note it is left hand drive! & my guess would be that it is 2 wheel dive the rearmost axle being a taag axle. Difficult to scale from the photo but the midddle axle lo0ks to be furthur forward than on the normal 7'6" wheelbase & petrol cap looks to be on opposite side to normal (unless this was done on all LHD Bradfords.

would be interesting to find out where & by who it was converted unless it was a dodgy photo!

I do know of a actual 4WD bradford that was made to go off road etc. was not road legal. I think it had a a sprocket and chain driving the rear wneels

Do you mean the one that started with this thread or the one that i know of?

The one I Know of was built in the 1970s or even early 1980s.
Dad took a pic of it. I will had to ask dad more details since he knew who built it.

Heres pics of the home built 6wheel 4WD Bradford
info so far on this home built:
Its fitted with CC engine, Twin Gearboxs.
Has the two diffs facing each other with short driveshaft inbetween.
on the short drive shaft it has the sprocket with chains going up to the gearbox above. It used to Brake chains alot .
