Classic Car of the Year - Competition Now Open!

I have just had a quick look at the Classic Car of the Year site, and it looks like the competition is being run again this year. Another opportunity for massive amounts of very positive publicity for Jowetts and the club.

From this it appears entries will open on 1st April - worth us entering cars in as many categories as we can.
Do we have any interesting stories we want to share with the rest of the classic car community? Any big restoration jobs completed? Perhaps one for the section chairmen to talk to their sections about, perhaps put forward cars that should be seen by a wider audience.
The categories we can expect will be pre-war, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. It would be great if we can find some very early Jowetts to enter the pre-war category, a few cars from the 1940s and a few cars from the 1950s.
If anyone wants to enter, please get in touch or post away - I am happy to help with competition entry (this is really important), what kind of photos they want (also very important), and how to run a campaign to maximise the number of votes for your car, as this is all important once cars have been shortlisted. You may have noticed but we are rather good at this kind of thing
As we know, category winners are likely to be on the stand at the NEC, which is a great opportunity for loads of publicity, as well as putting Jowetts right in the faces of the editors and writers of the biggest classic car magazines in the country.
We should not miss this opportunity. If nothing else, entering 3 or 4 cars in every category we are eligible for would send a very strong message to the competition organisers and the general public when voting, and there is nothing to stop us entering a lot of cars into this competition to make sure we get at least one or two shortlisted.
Jack.
