Index of Projects A, B, C, D and E and other Projects.

Post by Forumadmin »

This Topic aims to collect together as an index what is likely to become a large store of related information about the cars and their rebuilds. It will link to threads in JowettTalk and into the Gallery where we invite readers and viewers to comment on the rebuild tasks we will be presenting. Some of the content will also be presented on jowett.org that is available to search engines such as Google and Bing.

As items and albums are added and edited in the JowettGallery, or particulary interesting posts occur in JowettTalk, this topic will be updated so as to create a focal point and collation of techniques.

A thread started some while back on Project B, a new project for Team SC that won Classic Car of The Year 2010 and documented that rebuild in 'The Great SC Rebuild' code named later as Project A.

The launch of Project B took place at GP100 which celebrated the birth of the designer of the Javelin, Gerald Palmer.

The poster which gives some of the history behind this project follows

Unfortunately for Project B another Javelin has jumped ahead in the queue for restoration. Peter Pfister's Javelin was TOPIC collected from Switzerland and documented in the thread called 'Zurich Taxi' and its rebuild project THIS LINK NO LONGER WORKS! is codenamed 'An early Javelin Rebuild', Project D. So suggest you now jump to that thread! Note that Project C, the late TOPIC Derek Hawkin\'s Javelin, has been beautifully outsourced to TOPIC Leeds City College, and Project E, Chris Spencer's bitza Jup, is lying around the garage in various nooks and crannies.

Whilst these events were taking place the garage was being heavily modified to accomodate them all and to provide workshop facilities. This project I will collect intoTOPIC "The Garage Rebuild" album in the Gallery.

There are other restorations being documented on JowettTalk and in the Gallery. Some are listed here.
Richard and Geoff McAuley Jupiter
John Bray's First Restoration of a Javelin
Moises Escola's Javelin rebuild in Spain
Hendrik Mould's New Bradford
Marcel Kelldorfner's 1936 Falcon in Germany
