Nigel - You are correct - this was listed on e bay last Easter and changed hands for about £1,400 - it would appear that very little work has been carried out since and at £3,500 for a Javelin project is well over priced - although the car is very solid - the link is posted below - but I doubt that it will sell at this money

Thank you Chris, I remember the car was for sale near Leominster.I now think it was in one of the weekly car mags just before and was near Telford. At the time I checked an old JCC register and it was listed there. What a pity it did not appear for sale in the club magazine, the car is obviously well worth restoring by a true Jowett enthusiast.

Apparently sold for £3500. Seems a lot but it means (maybe) that the others are worth more than we thought!
Look out for a new member? I hope it is an enthusiast and not a repairer.
Originally registered in Sussex, local to me. Well, well, well . . . .

Javelin reg no MUF 760 was up for sale by a dealer called Mark Ashton in Bristol. I bought a pair of crankcases from him. The deal on the car included a recon engine and four pallets of spares?? If it were a good recon unit and the spares were all usable it may have realised the asking price but the ebay ad also included an " or best offer". I noticed that this car was registered to a member PJ Meakin in the last club vehicle register in 2008. I think his original idea was to realize more cash by selling all the items individually and he must have had a rethink on his strategy.
