I had this car for three years. She was in daily use and was our only family transport. I used it to get to and from work Runcorn to Liverpool a round trip of 36miles. She was off the road about three days in the threey years- with a cracked cylinder head- luckily I had a spare!

I hed a bar welded across the rear chassis to fit child seat belts, we had three children at the time. We used it for holidays as well and had great fun with it. I sold it because I was spending too much time keeping her on the road and neglecting Yellow Peril.

Although a 1949 car she had the later front suspension and whilst being a standard model she was fitted with a non-standard unusual dashboard. Former member Frank Livesey did a lot of mechanical work on her from whom I bought it, must have been in the early 1980s. Body wise she was a little rough but not too bad. I saw her I think it was last year at a North West Section and wasn't disappointed. She was well looked after by Nick (or Tim!)
