Increased Jowett.org activity

I reported to the JCC exec council as part of my webmaster's report that for years the number of sessions per day averaged just over 400, but then on the run up to Goodwood it was over 600. Yesterday it hit 785! Some of those are not real web browsing as might be deduced from these statistics
163 (21.0%) sessions made 0 page requests
395 (50.8%) sessions made 1 page requests
204 (26.2%) sessions made 2-5 page requests
9 (1.2%) sessions made 6-10 page requests
0 (0.0%) sessions made 11-20 page requests
6 (0.8%) sessions made 21-50 page requests
0 (0.0%) sessions made 51-100 page requests
1 (0.1%) sessions made 101+ page requests
Note that this is just for Jowett,org which does not house JowettTalk or JowettGallery or the Jowett Internet Services

I just had a quick look at the stats for yesterday to reveal this.
Latvia was second to UK from Europe with 30 sessions . (perhaps due to the 2012 European tour)
Uruguay features from South America with 4 sessions.
South Africa had 32 sessions.
Note these sessions may not be real people.
The stats are only for jowett.org and not jowett.net that holds the Forum and Gallery

hello, have you thought about using google analytics to measure the traffic of visitors?

I did try a couple of years ago (I guess when it first came out) but I have forgotten what the result was.
Although activity on jowett.org has some use to see 'new to Jowett' visitors, the important activity takes place on the Forum and the Gallery.
You first have to ask 'what do you want to know?'
Things like :
Who looked at the joining page and then joined or did not join?
How many looked at the shop?
How many visited more than three pages?
How many people repeated visits in one month?
The hardest thing is knowing which sessions are real people and what are bots.

To use it is only necessary to introduce a small tracking code on each sheet html (script). All questions you make are amply satisfied with the free version.
In random image you can see the main features in an image, it is really detailed, I can see in jowettjavelin.com I have many vistantes UK, AUS and USA ... which will force me to make a version in English, I mean which is a very useful tool, but I imagine a forum phpbb have a good system of statistics.
