HELP!

Post by paul wilks »

No sooner had the "Yellow Peril" been shortlisted for the Classic Car than she decided to throw all sorts of problems at me! I have sorted most of them but..... She has sprung a leak from the offside cylinder drain tap. Has anyone a "spare" I can buy please? I realise they must be as rare as hen's teeth but I would be grateful if someone can help.

Thanks in anticipation

What thread are they? Could you not fit a short bolt in the same hole with a bit of PTFE wrapped around it? Surely that would do it for the short term, and you can just remove said bolt if you need to drain the coolant?

I can have a look in our pile of bits, but you might find that JCS are more likely to have known working ones available.

Jack.

Paul, I will put one on the post tomorrow. Won't have time to get it chrome plated though.

Thanks Drummond. Chrome plating might be a bit "over the top" for "Yellow Peril"! :D

All the very best
