New Workshop

Post by Chris Spencer »

After much sorting / on - off purchase arrangements we eventually relocated at the start of December last year from London to the Hampshire / Berkshire boarders - there were many things on essential list but like all of us only a restricted amount of money to spend - we did however manage to tick a lot of boxes and found our architectural - period property - with charm - character - parking - garage & workshop - village location & a bonus of the most fantastic neighbours that you could wish for

Loft / upstairs storage & workshop requires finishing - I will complete the floor and insulate the roof space + electrics / lighting etc

There is quite a bit of updating required but the structure is amazing - nothing structural to do - we just have to bring our tastes and style to the property - to be honest I don't think that the property has really seen it's true potential reached yet so it's going to be a couple of busy years in front of us.

I've been looking for a large garage with 'adjoining house' for years, but Mandy always has other ideas! Well done, Chris!

Chris , congratulations on the move ! You may be interested in an obituary in today's Times of a Christopher Stell who produced a 4 volume " Inventory of Non Conformist Chapels and Meeting Houses", no doubt yours is there somewhere, they all look the same ! The obit also shows him in the rather scruffy Citroen Light 15 which he used for many years , regards Bob

Hi Chris,

Looks great! Well done! I am sure you must have a few 'bits and bobs' to fill that loft and garage?

Looks like a lovely place. I would love to get a old church and convert it into a home to live in.
