What's on in the UK Jowett world in August?

We are looking forward to our trip to the UK in August and would love to do something Jowett while there.

Ex-Employees Reunion at the Bradford Industrial Museum, Saturday August 9th, details in the Jowetteer.
The museum a good place to visit & there is usually 50 plus Jowetts on display. Enjoy the visit.

Whitby Regatta, North East
Raby Castle Classic Car Show, North East
Tewkesbury Classic Vehicle Festival, South West
Biggar Rally, Scottish
16-17th – Fairford Steam & Rally Show, South West
16th – Otley Vintage Transport Extravaganza, Northern

August 24-25th
Nostell Priory Steam Fair, North East
24th - Swainby Classic Car Show, North East
23-24th FISCAR HSCC at Oulton Park
Blenheim Palace Festival of Transport, South West
24th - Webbs Garden Centre Motor Show, South West
25th – Pershore Plum Festival, South West
25th – Chairman’s Midsummer Run, Northern

Note it is worth contacting the relevant section secretaries to confirm they are definitely doing these, as plans do change over time. Details in the front of the Jowetteer.

The Employees Reunion is probably the biggest Jowett event in August, but as above there are things going on every weekend across the country.

Sunday August 17th – Woburn Park, Bedfordshire: deHavilland Tiger Moth International Rally and Historic Vehicle Show; this is a wonderful opportunity to display your historic Jowett in the presence of these iconic historic aircraft, and there is a special concessionary discounted admission of £10 per Jowett vehicle including two adults; the tickets need to be purchased in advance - in which regard, the absolute deadline for advance tickets is 6th August 2014.

This is the event we may be going to, but then you said you were off to Ireland on 15th.

Hi Doug, I have spoken with Richard and there is a probability he will be racing at Oulton Park on 23/24 August if you promise to come along.
This might fit in with coming back from Ireland as the circuit is here. Manchester or Liverpool airport would be closest or you can take a sea ferry and train.

Oulton Park is a win with us, and we note that there might be some group B rally cars as well as a Jupiter, makes it even more interesting for us.
We have a couple of original quattro's one of which does track sprints.
We are so looking forward to our trip!

Richard Gane and John Arnold confirmed yesterday that they will be racing the Jup in the FISCAR series. So let me know your plans. I will see what others are doing and keep posting on here.

We are planning on being at Oulton Park on Sunday 24th in our Jupiter, so hopefully we will get to meet up. The Gold Cup is a great event, well worth visiting.
