I am working on integration of the facilities into a single sign on, so expect some announcements soon.
In the meantime please make sure your email address that is recorded in the 'User Control Panel',' Profile' in JowettTalk and that in the 'Your Account' panel in JowettGallery are the same otherwise integration will not work for you.
It would also help if this email address is the same as that in the membership list of your respective clubs as this will be used for validation into the JowettInternetServices. I would recommend you use an email address that is not likely to change and is on a reliable service. Work email addresses and those provided by phone companies often change.
Work email addresses pose a security risk to personal data as there is a possibility they could be used by others.
Email addresses on personal servers are also unreliable.
Some email providers do not offer good security on their email accounts and people find they have to change them if they are compromised.
I suggest using gmail which can be made secure. Your current email accounts can easily be fed into gmail if you want.
If you also have a JowettInternetServices account this will be included in the integration. You should have already made sure this account's email address matched that in the membership list.
For New Zealand members, we will have to work on a system of verifying your email addresses. I think I know many of you so there should not be much of a problem.
Note the new integrated logon will validate that you are the owner of the email address by sending you an email to which you have to respond to reactivate the account.

Password changes for single sign on
As part of the single sign-on preparation, all new registrants and any changes of password made by existing registered users will need to conform to a minimum password length of 12 characters and the passwords will need to contain upper and lower case characters and numbers.
This has been the requirement on Jowett Internet Services for two years and is necessary as an added protection on the data stored by the site.
You can continue using your current password for a while but should you want to use the single sign on facility you will need to change your password.
As is suggested on the JIS registration , it is easier to remember a phrase than 12 or more unconnected characters.
3QuickBrownFoxesJumpOver2LazyDogs is an example of a strong password conforming to the JowettTalk Single Sign On requirements.
It would be better to have a phrase more personal and only known to you rather than a modification to this well know sentence. I suggest not having special or punctuation characters in the phrase as this can be difficult to remember, although it is more secure.
If you have any issues with this change please contact me.
Remember to make sure your email addresses are up to date and consistent!
