CC Clutch rods

Post by ajg1722 »

Hello,

Have a bit of a problem. I'm now putting the beast back together, but there's something a bit odd with the clutch operating rods.

One of them is straight, the other cranked (see attached photo). The straight one fits fine, but I cannot fathom how the cranked one goes. Or if it is indeed correct. Can anyone who knows, or who has a functioning Bradford, put me straight?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

That is quite a dog leg you have there.

On mine they are both straight, they should both be straight to make the push pull cross shaft lever on the side of the gearbox operate. I even remade the right angled ends out of bar as mine were pretty worn.

If I can get a photo or a scan of the parts book I will put it up.
