Bradford Van EO 9840

Hello,

A friend and myself were talking about Bradfords recently and he sent me a couple of photos of a Bradford van he saw at Matlock College back in 1980. We both have an interest in, and own, classic vans but sadly neither of us own a Bradford (yet - I hope to, one day!), but we both wondered if this van is still around? According to the DVLA site it was last taxed in 1985 but a logbook was last issued in 2006, so that sounds promising.

Hope this is of interest,

Tony

Sorry for the late post on this. My records have a note that Alastair Gregg spotted it somewhere in a poor condition in 2007.

Hello Paul,

If I did, I now know nothing (as per Manuel). My wife to be at that stage went to Matlock college around 1982 and we got married in 1985 and moved "sowf" to Stilton Beans (known better as Milton Keynes, by the locals anyway). At that time finances stopped any Jowett involvement having divested myself of D9 PA 4246 in 1979 and I picked up "the re connection" E2 SA 922 in 2006.

Edit

I think I met you for the first time when I located this in very poor condition at a Garage in Ilkeston. It had come from an old station (long since disused) called South Wingfield near Crich. They lifted it out of the place it had rotted and snapped the chassis in the process. I will look and see if I have any photographs. I put in a succesful bid to buy it, but took too long to collect it and someone else paid £20 more and the garage took their money and then others took the vehicle.
