Correct Zenith carb?

Post by Au5t1n7 »

I’m in the process of restoring a 1929 Jowett flat two engine and a few parts came with it that I’m not sure if they are correct. Could anyone identify the carburettor in the attachment and let me know if this is correct for a 1929 engine? Many thanks.

They look like early 30s ones, as the float chamber is on the nearside. Is there a part number impressed into the float chamber, ie 26 HAZ?

Hi, thanks for the help.
There is 26 HZ stamped in the side of the float chamber, and some numbers?

Ah, interesting. Therefore, it's definitely a vintage. It's possible Jowett changed to a later design carb, perhaps in 1929 when lots of other modifications happened to the engine can anyone shed any light on this?
