This Javelin has spent most of its life central to just two families. The current owner of 32 years undertook a complete strip and restoration in the 90’s with mechanical and body rebuild/re-spray using specialist input where necessary.
It has since covered just 20K miles.
It has been dry garaged, anti-rust wax coatings checked regularly and maintained in continuous running order. It has taken part in many Jowett Car Club events including overseas.
It is pictured in the book ‘British Family Cars of the 1950s and 60s by Anthony Pritchard’.
Equipment includes: seat belts (4 inertia plus central rear fixed), radial tyres, electronic ignition, Subaru thermostatic electric cooling fan, stainless steel ‘Ace’ original design wheel rim embellishers, clock internals conversion to quartz mechanism.
Recent replacements include: new under boot spare wheel carrier (JCC spares supplied), re-conditioned radiator, re-chromed front bumper/overriders, fitting of new improved design water pump and fan (Drummond Black supplied), new wiper cable.
For future health and security many spares have been accumulated which can also be available by negotiation.. These include major items such as an already re-conditioned gearbox and parts including casing, differential and CW&P to rebuild another rear axle unit.
