A CACHE of BRADFORD PARTS

Post by Leo Bolter »

ADVANCED NOTICE (a perk for NZ users of this forum?)

This advert will probably be going in the next "Flat Four", if Vic accepts it!

____________________________________________________________

I had an out-of-the-blue contact from a couple that Val and I were involved with many years ago (in "Show Biz"!). They told me they had lots of Bradford parts in an old farm shed that was going to be demolished in the near future . . . . They wanted to know "is there anyone I know that's likely to be interested" . . . otherwise the bits will be off to the scrappie.

The uplifting will need to be completed before July, the way I understand it.

So, we went out to the old shed, which was a bit hard to get into, to inspect the parts thoroughly, but below I list the bits as well as as we could see them.

Probably CB? Bradford.

3? x front doors
4 x engines (heads and cylinders off)
8? x cylinders and heads?
One gearbox
2 x radiators
1? x grill
2 x front guards (they appear to be in pretty good condition)
Rear truck guards (also, apparently pretty good condition)
Bent dashboard
A number of van side window glasses
Van window frames
3 x headlights / glass / reflectors
Instrument panel (with instruments (speedo glass broken and dial damaged), switches etc)
2 x buckets of bolts and assorted stuff.
Floor frame with handbrake
Front bumper
Rear numberplate flap (spare wheel door) with tail lamp
1 x starter motor
1 x generator

(? = maybe more . . or maybe less!).

This "cache" is about 15 minutes drive from Palmerston North and the shed would be very easily accessible with a truck or trailer.

All the above will need to go!

There was no mention of a price (or even if some $$'s would be expected) . . . . . perhaps a "donation" might go down well!

Cheers, Leo

It was pointed out that the whereabouts of this stuff would be somewhat helpful!
